What is Mounting Style?
Mounting style refers to how your Bahama shutters are attached to the building surface. The goal is to ensure the shutters sit properly over the window, especially when trim, sills, or stucco pop-outs are present.
What Mounting options are there?
Mounting Style | Description | Best Used For | Appearance |
Flat Mount | Shutters mount directly to the wall with no gap. | Flat surfaces, little to no window sills or trims. | Sleek and low- profile |
1″ Build Out | A one inch gap is created between the frame and the wall. | Raised window sills, trim or, stucco detail. | Keeps the shutter functional and minimizes modifications to the window |
Flat Mount Bracket:

The Bahama shutter will mount flush to the wall/surface.
1″ Build Out Bracket:

The Bahama shutter will sit 1″ off the wall/surface it is mounted to. This could be to clear things like a window sill or any other protruding items.
