What is a Mullion in Bahama Shutters?
A mullion is a vertical support bar used when a single Bahama shutter isn’t wide enough to cover a large window opening. It allows two or more shutter panels to be mounted side by side, giving extra strength and maintaining the look and function of Bahama-style shading.
When Do You Need a Mullion?
The need for a mullion depends on the window width. A mullion will be automatically selected for every 4 feet of span. If your window is wider, a mullion splits it into multiple shutter sections.
