Given two options (straight and wave) the user can customize the appearance of the fabric at the end of the valance bar.
Straight
A straight valance has no braiding. It is folded over and sewn.
Wave
The wave option has a wave-style pattern on the valance. This style has a braid on the edge and the color of the braid will be best matched to the fabric/frame color you choose.
